From time to time, you may experience a screeching or unusual sound from your IQbuds BOOST. This is ‘feedback’. It can happen when there is a speaker close to a microphone and the noise from the speaker is ‘fed back’ through the microphone, boosting the sound and creating a loop.
IQbuds are designed to prevent feedback, however, through normal use, brief feedback sounds can occur due to changing acoustic conditions. This is perfectly normal. Feedback will happen more frequently if the earbuds are not fitted correctly or handled properly.
Feedback can be caused by the user not having the right fit, please see this article for more information on achieving the best fit
If the microphones on the buds are being covered and/or the volume of the IQbuds BOOST being set too high, this can also result in feedback. To avoid this feedback, you can handle your IQbuds BOOST by the sides and avoid covering the tap touch area
If you have IQbuds BOOST try reducing the volume levels and reducing the Real World volume and/or the volume level within your Personal Profile.
If the noise is heard when in the case this suggests that the buds are not detecting that they are in the charging case. You will want to be sure that both red LEDs come on when in the case and then the feedback should stop.
