Yes. The IQbuds2 MAX features a 12 band WDRC (wide dynamic range compression) System.

WDRC makes soft speech sounds more audible, while louder sounds remain comfortable. This allows IQbuds2 MAX users not to have to make as many manual adjustments over the volume of their buds, as louder sounds will not be amplified beyond tolerance levels.

Without WDRC, loud noises, which would be acceptable to a normal hearing person, would be unbearable to the IQbuds2 MAX user. ​
